Arriving at the Farm

Its a 3.5 hour drive from NYC nonstop

of course there are wonderful places to stop and see like Woodstock or places along the Hudson River. One of our favorites is Kingston the first Capital of NY state. We recommend Rough Draft Book Store (great coffee, beer bar and lite food), Rosie General and Villiage Coffee and Goods. If you do drive it is important to know that cell service is spotty and you should load in the gps map before you enter the Catskills. When driving in the Catskills please be aware of potential wildlife on the road. No need to rush on the country roads, if a big truck is riding your rear just pull over and let them pass.

Public Transportation

Trailways Bus company services the Catskills Mountain area. The easiest way to get to the farm is to take the bus to Andes. Andes is a cute little town with restaurants, shops and galleries. If you are taking the bus to Andes contact Carolyn to figure out how to get to the farm. We most likely will be able to pick you up and drop you off. If we’re not able then Lift or Uber are services that operate in this area. Uber offers pick up reservations.

Another option is Metro North to Poughkeepsie or Amtrak to Rhinecliff. If it coordinates with one of us in transit we’ll meet you and take you with us to the farm. If we’re already at the farm then there are taxi services from both train stations.
